Magnificent Yosemite
Day 54: 01/13/2022
Today was a day that we’ll always remember! We left wine country en route for the Yosemite National Park in the Sierra Nevada Mountains. We had already booked a multi-night stay at Yosemite Pines RV Resort, so that’s where the camper remained for the following days. The two of us and the truck drove through growing mountains, meadows, and groves of trees as we approached the entrance to Yosemite National Park. Upon entering the park, we had to climb a few thousand feet in elevation and then quickly descended down the mountain along the winding road and through dark tunnels. Then, BAM, it was right in front of us; Yosemite Valley!

As we were exiting a tunnel, with daylight shining brightly on its cliff-face, Half Dome filled our view with all of its brilliance. To its right was beautiful Bridal Veil Falls. We stopped in awe to admire this work of art before continuing deeper into the valley.
As we continued, the prominence of El Capitan appeared and Yosemite Falls close behind. The sunny afternoon filled the valley and we stopped briefly to take it all in. We then quickly scoped out the valley before dark so we were prepared for the next full day of activity!
