Today was all about saving some gas and not driving anywhere in the truck. We did have to drive to Walmart (gratefully aunt Nancy let us borrow her car) to get our first batch of groceries, which is a lot harder to do when you have to think of not having a refrigerator working 24/7. We kind of forgot how close it is to Thanksgiving so the shelves were quite bare. But we got enough to fill up a few cabinets in the camper, so we will see how long that lasts for us.
In the afternoon we did end up having to drive quite a bit out to Adam’s aunt and uncle’s cabin to help move a deer to a meat locker, which Adam’s cousin Abby had claimed while hunting the previous week. That was also a first time experience for us.
For the second night in a row, aunt Nancy satisfied us and her family with an amazing meal. Tonight it was bacon wrapped meatloaf and mac n cheese, which were done on her smoker. She also made a delicious apple crisp for dessert, we savored every bite!
